Calculation method for non-stable liquid flow with account for various non-Darcy laws

Diffusion equation commonly used for interpretation of pressure transient tests is based on the Darcy law. Results of investigations undertaken by different researches testify to violation of the Darcy law regularities. The author has attempted to take into account basic parameters of non-linear flow: permeability vs. pressure, initial pressure gradient, viscoelastic effects, and interaction between formation fluid and reservoir rock, both chemical and physical. The resultant procedure is based on the works of the Russian researches dated to 1960-80-ies and present-day approaches to the calculation of non-stable liquid flow.

High fractured zones in carbonate reservoir of Eastern Siberia offer particular interest as possible catch pot and oil travel path. Application of traditional seismic processing often does not allow to solve a problem of identification of such geological objects. High fractured zones form complicated weak-power interferential pictures which is possible to allocate and to analyze as disseminated component of a wave field. One of approaches to allocation and the analysis fields of scattered waves connected with high fractured zone is presented in this article.

On the problems of energy saving and energy efficiency in reservoir pressure maintenance systems

The typical scheme of reservoir pressure maintenance system, for which HMS Neftemash OAO produced the modular cluster pumping stations, water-distribution points and blocks of combs for over 30 years, is considered. Despite the fact that the above typical scheme lives up to its purpose, it has drawbacks, primarily related to the lack of operational well after well injection control. A new solution to the problem of management in reservoir pressure maintenance systems based on technology of discrete injections, developed by Giprotyumenneftegaz OAO, is suggested.
