The history of origin of the technical requirements of Surgutneftegas OJSC to supplied oil recovery facilities is presented. The main technical solutions for the modernization of the downhole equipment, allowing to significantly increase the reliability of electric centrifugal pumps installations, are given. Perspective plans for the unification of the equipment are considered.
