Based on experience with field research methodology is proposed for determining the current values of the gas factors of oil fields by measuring flow rates of oil and gas of reference wells. Set out the criteria for selecting the reference wells, the criteria of reliability of the results of field measurements of gas-oil ratio. It is noted that measurements of gas content in oil well production must take into account the gas content of produced water, primarily in the fields of the late and final stages of development.
