Non-traditional sources of hydrocarbon raw material: geochemical features and aspects of development

Authors: R.Z. Mukhametshin (Kazan Federal University), S.A. Punanova (Oil and Gas Research Institute of RAS)

The problems of changing the absolute contents and ratios of trace elements in heavy oils and solid bitumens in the process of their hypergene transformation are considered. The geochemical features of hypergene vanadium-bearing naphthides in the Permian deposits of Tatarstan fields and the geological and tectonic conditions of formation and transformation of their accumulations are studied in detail. It is shown that the technology of borehole mining of viscous oils recovery should take into account the high content of toxic trace elements (V, Ni). For a more complete extraction of trace elements and to reduce the ecological impact on the environment the complex processing of such a hydrocarbon row material as hypergenically converted naphtides is needed.

Key words: naphtides, hypergenesis, trace elements, geochemistry.
