Nikolai Nilovich is a Member of the Academic and Dissertation Councils of the Institute of Oil and Gas Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1991 and 1997), the Academic Secretary at the Petroleum Division of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (1996-2003), Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (since 1997), Member of Dissertation councils at Gubkin University (since 2001), Member of Central Development Committee of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of the Russian Federation (oil section) (since 2004), Member of the Scientific and Technical Council of Gazprom JSC, Expert of the Russian Fundamental Research Fund, Department of Geosciences. He is an author of 200 scientific publications, including 12 monographs, manuals and scientific and technical surveys.
Winner of the Interuniversity Prize for the best scientific work (1985), the Prize of the USSR State Committee for Public Education (1987), Competition Winner of State Scientific Scholarships to outstanding scientists of Russia (1993), the Gubkin Prize (1994).
The journal "Oil Economy" enjoys well-deserved authority among Russian oilmen as a source of up-to-date, highly professional scientific and technical information. The journal has always been and remains for publications about the latest achievements and problems of development in the field of:

All incoming articles are subject to mandatory external review according to the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission.
