Innovation projects valuation using options theory

DOI:
It is noted, that the investment projects, related to the scientific research and new developments, are always realized in conditions of high uncertainty and inevitable risks. The use of the option theory is proposed for estimation the cost of research projects. An example of such an assessment, using the method of decision tree, is given. It is concluded, that the proposed method allows to exclude from consideration known unrealizable scenarios, but to take into account the cost of technological breakthroughs capabilities.

Source rocks and oils in eastern part of West Siberia

DOI:
Geochemical investigations of oils and Cretaceous, Jurassic and Pre-Jurassic rocks were performed for eastern part of West Siberia. A role of different source rocks in oil and gas formation was evaluated based on Rock-Eval pyrolysis results and distribution types of oil in a territory. Showed that source rocks are absent among Cretaceous deposits. Jurassic and Pre-Jurassic rocks were a main source for oil.

Development of abandonment fluid applied downhole while abandonment of offshore wells

DOI:
First experience in activities relating to the abandonment of offshore wells in the oilfields operated and developed by Vietsovpetro JV has shown that abandonment fluids traditionally applied do not meet the Safety and Environment Regulations. This is because the applied solutions lose their technological properties during long-term abandonment and corrosivity increases due to biological degradation of reagents included in their composition. The paper discusses the development results of a new composition of the abandonment fluid applied downhole while abandonment of the offshore wells.

DOI:
An experimental setup, allowing to carry out a study of the process of oil displacement in a wide range of thermobaric, geological, physical and chemical conditions in the reservoir and operation parameters of the displacing agent, is created. Experiments on the displacement of transformer oil from the reservoir model by supercritical carbon dioxide in the temperature range 313-353 K, pressure - 7-12 MPa are executed. It is shown, that a temperature increase leads to a significant reduction in oil recovery ratio at pressures above the critical value.
