Geoinformation technology of on-line monitoring of field development and well operations based on Visual Geomodel software system was developed, which combines deployment of a wide selection of geological analysis’ tools, live simulation models and digital operation models of exploration and production wells. The main purpose of the exercise is acquisition, review and provision of comprehensive information to drilling, R&D and production entities to assist in operational decision-making for efficient management and optimized field development. The application has wide range of particular uses, such as live simulation models’ validation and maintenance; areal geological inhomogeneity analysis; routine condition monitoring of field development through field tests and log evaluation; improvement of well stimulation efficiency (candidate selection for hydraulic fracturing, directional drilling and side hole direction validation, etc.); independent visual reference database on well design and current status etc.
