Experience in the development of oil shale deposits in the U.S.

The problem of finding alternative sources of fuel in the USA and other countries is considered. It is shown that in recent years with the development of new drilling technologies and the improvement of multistage fracturing technology in the long horizontal borehole sections it was made possible cost-effective production of oil from the reservoirs, characterized by low porosity and permeability, primarily from oil shale.
