When petrophysical model is created the one of the main relevance criteria is the close proximity of the estimates via well-log interpretation with the results of laboratory core studies. In the standard situation, intervals of coring are correlated with those of well-logs only conditionally. The paper discusses problems of matching core-log dataversus well-log one in the process of creating petrophysical model, special attention being given to the situation with low core recovery.

Key words: multicomponent structure of rocks solid phase, correlation, laboratory core studies, well-log interpretation.
