On the multiphase fluid flow equations in the concepts of absolute and effective pore space

Physical assumptions and equivalency of the multiphase flow equations are analyzed for the concepts of absolute and effective pore space. Expressions for equivalent compressibility characteristics of effective porous medium are derived considering connate water saturation.
